Bernier Cast Metals, Inc. specializes in the following casting technologies:

Green Sand Molding: Granular refractory mineral is coated with mostly bentonite clay and water, and then compacted (molded) around a pattern.

Air-Set (No Bake): Dry sand is combined with a liquid resin, making it wet and sticky. A chemical hardener is then added and the resulting mixture compacted around a pattern and left to set.

Lost Foam Casting
(a.k.a. EPC - Expendable Pattern Casting): Dry sand is compacted around a pattern made of expendable polystyrene (EPS) coated with a refractory wash.
